Good pitches focus on one answerable question, explain why it matters to readers and offer a distinct way into the subject. We are interested in reporting conventions, source use, headlines, news formats, corrections and the habits readers bring to a story.

Make the pitch useful

Include a working title, a short summary, the central point you would explain and the material or examples you would rely on. Flag uncertainty, relevant limitations and any interests that could affect how the piece is read.

Submissions should be original and written in clear, careful language. We may ask for revisions, supporting context or clarification; sending a pitch does not guarantee a response or publication.
