Editorial policy
Rising News Spotlight aims to make the craft and presentation of news easier to read. We distinguish description from interpretation, state limits plainly and correct material errors when they are identified.
Accuracy and context
Articles are written to explain concepts and reading practices without inventing examples as real events. Claims should be specific enough to check, and context should not be stripped away to make a point sound stronger. When an explanation has limits, we say so.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for reader relevance and clarity. A partnership or commercial arrangement does not determine our editorial conclusions, and paid material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from editorial work.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review the specific claim and, when a correction is warranted, amend the relevant material and make the change clear to readers.
Illustrations and labels
Some illustrations may be AI-generated. Illustrations are not presented as documentary photographs, and relevant image labels should make their illustrative role clear.
